Cancellation Policy

Missed and cancelled sessions pose some issues for both of us. The work of psychotherapy is sometimes challenging and when we hit a difficult place together, it can feel easier to want to avoid coming in for treatment. I would prefer we speak about this intentionally rather than you canceling sessions. Once an appointment hour is scheduled, you will be expected to pay for it unless you provide 48 hours advance notice of cancellation. If it is possible, I will try to find another time to reschedule the appointment. If we are able to do, before the following weekend, I will allow you to reschedule at no extra fee.

If you are running late for your appointment, please phone, text or email me as soon as you can to let me know you will be late. If I do not hear from you by 20 minutes into your session, I will call to check on you and may assume you do not plan to attend your session. The missed session will be charged to your credit card on file.

Fee Schedule & Billing Practices

  • My fee is $120 for a 50 minute session; $180 for an 80 minute session.
  • Group therapy fees are $35 per 60 minutes session; $50 per 90 minute session.
  • Sliding scale fees are availanle for those with proven financial need. Availability is limited and may require being placed on a waiting list.
  • Your session is payable in cash, by check, credit or debit card at the beginning of every session. For your convenience, I ask that a credit/debit card is kept on file in the case that you forget to bring your preferred method of payment to the session.
  • Paper or Digital receipts (for personal records or insurance re-imbursement) are available by request.
  • Checks cashed with insufficient funds will be charged a $30 fee.

Communication

Throughout the course of therapy, there will be times when we will communicate with each other by various means. My preferred method for scheduling is via e-mail or online. Personal communications or questions that should be discussed during session are not appropriate for e-mail correspondence.
