Services for Helping Professionals

I feel very fortunate to have had Sairalyn as an internship supervisor during my first year in grad school.  Sairalyn is a natural mentor, knowing when to provide encouragement and when to urge her interns to do more.  She consistently provided sound clinical advice and made sure to develop my skills in writing clinical notes as well as presenting case studies.  Moreover, I learned how to create a safe space for my clients and have more empathy for them, simply by observing Sairalyn run her own art therapy groups.  I highly recommend Sairalyn for anyone looking to become a stronger and more self-aware art therapist.

Internships:

Over the last five years I have supervised over 20 Masters students at Hartley House and University Settlement.  Settlement houses like these offer students the opportunity to work with a range of ages using a variety of materials. It allows the flexibility to design your own mini programs and develop and execute your own service plans.

For more information about current internship opportunities, please email me at sansano@universitysettlement.org

Art Therapy Supervision:

As a LCAT (Licensed Creative Arts Therapist) and ATR-BC (Board Certified, Registered Art Therapist) I provide individual and group Art Therapy supervision for those in the process of attaining their LCAT or ATR.  Both group and individual sessions center around confidential case presentations and utilize discussion and art making to process the clinical work of the professional. Exposure and training with computer art/technology and how they may be incorporated into the work of the professional can also be a focus of out work together.

Please contact me to join one of my supervision groups or to schedule individual supervision sessions.

Workshops and Coaching:

As a coordinator and on-site director for various CBO programs, I have supervised dozens of youth services line staff.  Regardless of their titles within the CBO, the same struggles always seem to come up including but not limited to: burnout prevention, organization strategies, lack of inspiration/passion for the work, stress and anxiety reduction, communication strategies, and managing up.

Please contact me to join one of my groups or to schedule individual coaching sessions.

Website Design and Training:

For helping professionals like Art Therapists, Music Therapists, Dance Therapists, Drama Therapists, Psychotherapists and Social Workers, maintaining a digital presence has become much more of a requirement rather than a perk.  A large majority of the people we serve look to the web to help determine if a professional is in fact “professional”.  Without an attractive website, clients may feel that you are inaccessible, old fashioned, or even inexperienced.  However, creating and maintaining a website can be both intimidating and expensive without the proper resources.  I was once in that place and will work together will you to teach you how to build and/or maintain a professional website.  I can provide you with the tools to get all the marketing materials you need printed and ready so that you can go back to focusing on your clients/students/patients.

Please contact me to discuss your needs and how I can help.
